WEVE 1 - Panel: Closing the Gap: Rated vs Monitored Performance of HVAC Equipment
Wednesday, April 25, 2007 · 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
In spite of training and commissioning programs, there continues to be a significant gap between the rated and actual (field performance) HVAC equipment in certain applications, but not necessarily in others. This panel session will explore the reason this gap occurs, and what can be done to close it. We will examine regulatory approaches, training programs, and commissioning efforts, as well as technology and installation issues.
By attending this session, participants will
- Understand why there is a gap between rated and installed HVAC systems performance in certain applications
- Explore some of the causes for this gap and the best current efforts being made to close this gap
- Leave with a set of tools you can use in your own program or job to ensure installed HVAC performance is closer to its rated performance
