HEAT 6 - Advanced Heating: Gas & Oil
Wednesday, April 25, 2007 · 3:30 PM - 5:10 PM
Discover the latest technology in advanced, efficient systems for gas and oil space and water heating. Get first hand information (including problems and drawbacks) on air handlers, two-stage furnaces, condensing boilers, combo appliances, and more! Next generation technologies (stirling engine, thermophotovoltaics) which can generate electricity will also be discussed, along with integration with renewables. Technical and non-technical participants are welcome to discuss experiences you may have had with these technologies.
By attending this session, participants will
- Learn about advances in gas- and oil-fired space and water heating appliance technologies
- Appreciate advantages and disadvantages of various systems
- Find out about ultra-new integrated technologies that perform multiple functions from one energy source, including electricity generation, that are about to enter the marketplace
- Be better able to choose appropriate high efficiency systems for existing and new housing
