BAS 5 - Intro to Mechanical Ventilation
Wednesday, April 25, 2007 · 10:40 AM - 12:20 PM
Explore the fundamentals of basic mechanical ventilation systems. When done right, mechanical ventilation can provide improved air quality and building protection. When done wrong, it can cause many problems including poor indoor air quality. Understand basic design and installation principles that will help ensure adequate airflow, proper operational control, and sufficient distribution of ventilation air while avoiding pressurization / depressurization problems.
By attending this session, participants will
- Explore the concept of effective spot exhaust and IAQ whole house ventilation
- Recognize the importance of effective fresh air delivery and different approaches
- Understand the importance of proper duct sizing and installation and what makes ventilation transparent
