MAN 4 - Panel: State Perspectives: To Certify
or Not to Certify
Wednesday, August 16, 2006 · 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Find out how
several states in the region are approaching certification. Where certification is concerned, it may be an understatement to say the devil is in the details.
What are the standards you test against? Who needs to be certified? How do you make sure that certification has value? How do you pay for the cost of
certification, verification, and recertification? What system is in place to take away certification, if needed? Why bother?
By
attending this session, participants will
- Understand the rationale behind different states’ approaches to certification
- Gain insight into the value and cost of a certification effort
- Have ideas for how to address or revise certification and recertification efforts in your state
