FUND 7 - Mechanical Ventilation: Sorting Out the Options
Thursday, April 10, 2008 · 8:30 AM - 10:10 AM
Explore types of mechanical ventilation systems and the pros and cons of each. When done right, mechanical ventilation can provide improved air quality and building protection. When done wrong, it can cause many problems including poor indoor air quality. Understand basic design and installation principles that will help ensure adequate airflow, proper operational control, and adequate distribution of ventilation air while avoiding pressurization / depressurization problems.
By attending this session, participants will
- Explore the concept of effective ventilation systems and what it takes to get a system that works properly
- Recognize the importance of effective fresh air delivery (there are different ways to achieve this)
- Understand the importance of proper duct sizing and installation and what it takes to validate system performance
