Frozen pipes, cold floors, indoor air quality problems, rodents and insects, and allergies are some of the consequences of problem crawl spaces. Find ways to solve problems commonly found with new and existing crawlspaces. Explore the energy and moisture implications of crawlspace ventilation and insulation placement.
 
By attending this session, participants will
 
1.        Break down the interactions of airflow, duct leaks, energy use, pressure, heat, insulation, and moisture
2.        Explore the implications of including or excluding the crawl space within the home’s thermal boundary
3.        Recognize that a wet crawlspace can contribute to the occupants’ health problems
