HVAC 6 - Accurate Airflow Measurement

Many homes have rooms that are not comfortable. This can be caused by improper insulation, unidentified air leaks, or pressure problems. The majority of the time it is caused by inadequate air flow from the mechanical system. This session will examine the proper methods to test air flow, the problems associated with the accuracy of each technique, and the many solutions for correcting low air flow situations

 

By attending this session, participants will

 

  1. Learn how the location of of holes in a duct system affects the heating and cooling dominant load
  2. Find out how to prioritize duct repairs and what materials to use to fix ducts
  3. Recognize the importance of testing in and out
