HVAC 5 - Venting & Backdrafting: Combustion Appliances

This is an introduction to the fundamentals of heating systems and venting combustion appliances. Participants will learn to identify different classifications of furnaces and boilers. This breakout will touch on topics such as health and safety issues, approved materials, NFPA venting guidelines, and venting safety. This training will assist technicians in identifying problems, repairing and analysis of venting systems in the field.

1. Have a fundamental understanding of heating systems and proper venting
2. Understand the best practices of a heating system technician
3. Have an understanding of the elements that make up a quality heating system analysis
