Rob de Kieffer is the managing partner of Boulder Design Alliance. He has been working in both new and retrofit construction for over twenty years. He consulted with The Energy Conservatory in the development of the Minneapolis Duct Blaster ™ and field tested the prototypes. He has worked to establish several criteria for testing ducts and has tested and repaired thousands of duct systems. Rob has developed inspection criteria for all types of duct-house configurations, invented the “deKieffer bypass” for pressure-balancing rooms, and developed new crew-friendly plenum take-offs that deliver fifteen percent more airflow than conventional ones.
