PA Home Energy: Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst Training

in Greensburg, PA  -  January 26-30, 2009

Rising Energy prices and environmental concerns have dramatically increased consumer interest in green building technology and energy efficiency. PA Home Energy has responded with training around the state for contractors and consultants interested in participating in the PA Home Energy Program.

These classes are for Building Professionals seeking to participate in the PA Home Energy program.  Limited to 10 participants per class.

 

Pre-requisites: To attend the BPI training, you must have already taken the Rater test.

 

Cost: BPI training: $1000

Testing is included. A portion of the cost of training will be refunded upon completion (see below).

 

After Training

Participants will have an opportunity to get on-the-job mentoring with (optional) sales training offered along with other related topics. Ongoing technical support will also be provided to participating contractors.

 

Training Incentives are Available

PA Home Energy is offering financial rewards to Pennsylvania contractors and consultants who wish to obtain BPI certification to support the PA Home Energy program. Partial reimbursements are being provided by the West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund:

 

Refund on completion of training and testing: $200 will be refunded for BPI training to any Service Provider that completes the training and takes the test (limit 2 per company).

 

Early Adopter Incentives of $500 are available to any Service Provider that performs and submits reporting on five PA Home Energy existing home audits / new home plan reviews anywhere in Pennsylvania.

 

These audits / plan reviews must be completed within 120 days of listing as a service provider (limit 2 per company).
