Jim Lutz is assistant group leader of the Energy Efficiency Standards Group at LBNL (Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory). He is a staff research associate working on efficiency standards for residential appliances for the U.S. DOE. Jim was lead author of the Technical Support Document for the energy efficiency standards for residential water heaters (effective 2004). He is active in ASHRAE as a member on the Service Water Heating Technical Committee.
