DONE 2 - Cost Effective & Practical: Implementing High Performance, Green New Homes
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 · 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Builders and designers are often at a loss when implementing the various high performance and green technologies available today. Whatever pushes you toward green and high performance: higher sales, environmental concerns, or building performance and durability, many walk away overwhelmed, not enlightened, or at a financial loss for learning the hard way. In this session we will take a look at what is feasible and how to go about it. How do you get staff and subs to buy in to new approaches?
By attending this session, participants will
- Improve your ability to determine when and where building performance and green practices should be incorporated into design and construction
- Make sense of some of the more common pitfalls in construction today and learn how implementing green and building performance measures can be cost-effective and reduce call backs
- Have a “road map” for making more informed decisions on how to apply new technologies and green components for increased profits and satisfied customers
