Furnaces have come a long way from the old gravity coal systems. Review the advances in residential gas furnaces. Recognize differences in operation and performance and learn how to identify different types of furnaces. Understand the basics of proper installation and venting. Learn how to perform diagnostic tests with different types of venting systems.
 
By attending this session, participants will
 
  1. Identify the similarities and differences between older gas furnaces and new high efficiency gas units
  2. Learn to communicate with a heating contractor better when there are problems with a given furnace
