In Weatherization, having a good vent system is a must. This training offers a practical perspective on venting Category 1 gas appliances.
Review vent system basics which will help make identifying problems and common code violations a little easier. Learn to use the NFPA-54 guidelines and vent tables to properly size vent systems. This fast-paced and information filled three hour session is intended for anyone who deals with gas combustion appliance vent systems.
By attending this session, participants will:
1. Understand how a vent system works, making identification of problems and code violations easier
2. Learn what the NFPA--54 (National Fuel Gas Code) really says about venting gas appliances
3. Be exposed to proper installation techniques and venting products
