The Garage Connection: Solving CO, IAQ, & Comfort Problems (in-field)

An attached garage can be the source of carbon monoxide and other pollutants entering a house. Pulling air out of the garage can cause combustion appliances in the house to backdraft. Rooms over garages often have comfort problems. Here is your opportunity to use diagnostic tools, discuss whole house solutions, and improve your retrofit techniques as you address the garage connection.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Learn to measure the airflow between a garage and a house

2. Examine and discuss a variety of solutions for the indoor air quality and comfort problems posed by an attached garage

3. Get hands-on experience performing duct sealing, air sealing, and strategic dense pack
