Targeted Densepack (Advanced) (In-field)

Key junctures are transitions in the building enclosure that, if not addressed properly, can be significant thermal defects. Air from a ventilated side attic may chill the floor between the first and second floor. Open top plates may provide a direct access for unconditioned attic air to enter interior wall cavities. This session is for experienced insulators who want to sharpen their skills and to efficiently identify and correct thermal defects in existing homes.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Be better able to recognize significant opportunities for savings

2. Recognize the limitations and appropriate applications for densepack insulation

3. Apply the techniques learned to increase their productivity in the field

Keywords: air sealing, densepack, equipment, existing homes, hands-on, insulation, operation and maintenance, products, thermal defects, tools, techniques
