Crawl Spaces: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

This session will cover experiences from over two hundred retrofits and more than four hundred new, sealed crawl spaces a year. Quality assurance checks in new construction have revealed startling new information that is critical when assuring healthy, safe, and durable crawl spaces. This session will also cover three years of research results defining moisture management and energy reduction due to proper crawl space treatments. If you are looking for a practical, rubber-meets-the-road session, then this is the class for you.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Learn how to diagnose and create a work plan that will assure good moisture management, increased durability, and reduced energy use

2. Find out what materials work and how to apply each

3. Review step by step crawl space processes for new and existing homes
