Combustion Safety (In-field/INCAA)
Your efforts to conserve energy in the home must always include combustion appliance safety checks, both before and after any remedial work is done to
the home. This hands-on session will cover the basics of combustion, the equipment used to measure the combustion
safety of gas burning appliances, and common problems and cures. Perform tests using both traditional and high tech test
equipment. The impacts of retrofit measures upon combustion equipment will also be
discussed.
By attending this session participants will
1. Conduct a detailed safety inspection of a gas furnace
2. Diagnose common air flow problems in residential furnaces and their relationship to combustion performance
3.
Gain experience with a variety of diagnostic equipment
