ACT 5

Neighborhood Energy Education Campaigns

The

Weatherization Rehabilitation Asset and Preservation Project (WRAP) and the Dane County Environmental Action Teams Program (EnAct) are neighborhood

initiatives that educate families about practical ways to conserve energy while building stronger communities. EnAct uses a team approach to promote

sustainable lifestyles. Team members support each other in taking actions to reduce waste, conserve energy and water, protect water quality, and change

transportation habits. The WRAP program is focused on preserving the home as an asset and increasing the sustainability of energy services to that home. Both

programs incorporate actions ranging from simple steps such as air-drying laundry to projects such as weatherstripping or purchasing ENERGY

STAR® appliances.

sustainability
2.
