What DO Those Guys Want? Wx from the Contractor Perspective

This session will look at the changes in weatherization program contractor requirements over a twenty year period. Experience an array of diagnostic equipment, high-efficiency products and systems, new standards and procedures, insurance, administrative and training issues, and other costs associated with the evolution of weatherization. During the multimedia presentation, the presenters will discuss the crossovers between their low income weatherization jobs and their private sector work.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Gain an overview of the changing requirements for weatherization contractors

2. Compare the efficiency of mechanical and architectural products and procedures used during the past twenty years

3. Learn about interesting crossovers between contractors' multifamily and single-family weatherization and private sector work
