Programs
Pennsylvania’s sixteen major electric and natural gas utilities spent
over $27 million dollars on Low-Income Usage Reduction Programs (LIURP) in 2003. Managers from FirstEnergy, PECO, and PPL will describe their LIURP programs,
explain the rational for their design parameters, and share program results. Program goals, customer targeting, weatherization measures provided, consumer
education procedures, service delivery contractors, data collection and management, quality control procedures, evaluations conducted, and processes for
program refinement experiences will be shared. Participants will be encouraged to share opinions on the advantages and disadvantages of the different
models.
By attending this session, participants will
1. Understand the many different elements, models, and ways to implement LIURP programs
2. Identify how a particular design of an element can be beneficial,
depending on how it relates to other program parameters and constraints
