It takes electricity to pump and treat most of the water we use. It takes water to generate most of our electricity. When evaluating reductions in usage, one needs to take in account the relationship between water and energy. Wastewater will also be covered.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Understand how much energy it takes to pump and treat the water we use

2. Become aware of the amount of water needed to generate electricity

3. Learn how to properly account for this relationship when analyzing program or measure cost effectiveness
