WEVE 2 - How Good is Good Enough? Rethinking Walls: Options for Superinsulation in New & Existing Homes

Wednesday, February 04, 2009  ·  7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

There's only so far you can go with wall cavity insulation in new and existing homes. Heat loss through framing has a significant impact on overall wall performance. Explore a variety of approaches to substantially increasing performance. What are the benefits and how can the additional expense be justified? How good is good enough? See highlights from the Tuesday session, “Building High Performance, Affordable, & Durable Walls.”

By attending this session, participants will

1. Be able to identify the benefits of a high performance wall
2. Understand criteria and constraints that effect the appropriateness of one wall insulation strategy over another
3. Consider applying this on a project in the next year
