OPP 5 - Feedback Devices: Pilot Results & Emerging Systems
Thursday, February 05, 2009 · 10:20 AM - 11:50 AM
Examine the potential and implications for feedback devices and behavioral energy savings. Hear findings and energy savings from the Home Energy Monitor Pilot. An overview of feedback devices will address features as well as differences in
orders of magnitude cost, installation, performance, reliability, and use. Discover opportunities to use feedback devices as part of a larger system for tracking, data collection, benchmarking, and load control as well as the integration with smart grids.
By attending this session, participants will
1. Examine one organization’s pilot effort at analyzing the energy savings from home energy monitoring devices, and how these devices may fit into energy efficiency programs
2. Obtain an overview of the different types of feedback technologies and interfacing system components available
3. Gain further understanding of energy feedback devices and their appropriate applications as well as the larger picture of how these technologies can be used in energy efficiency programs
