Examine the connection between water, energy, and climate, at the societal and residential level. Within this context, explore resource efficiency opportunities that focus on this connection in single-family and multifamily buildings. Particular emphasis will be on the three main structural components (production, distribution and end-use) that impact water use and the energy needed for heating water. Examine how likely environmental changes will affect residential water use.
By attending this session, participants will
1. Learn about the connection between water, climate, and energy
2. Better understand how these connections apply to single-family and multifamily buildings
3. Understand the magnitude of potential savings that can be obtained by having an integrated approach to resource efficiency
