DEVL 3 - Duct Leakage Tests: What Don't They Mean?

Wednesday, February 04, 2009  ·  3:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Most programs that require duct leakage testing view duct pressurization tests as the "gold standard.” Other programs still allow pressure pan testing to be used. Learn the limitations of duct tests and ways to improve test accuracy. Learn which type of duct leakage is most important to identify and fix. Get an update on new tests under development.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Recognize that CFM 50 Pa numbers do not reflect what is happening at operating conditions
2. Be able to explain why Duct Blaster® test results are not always easy to duplicate
3. Learn some new techniques for improving the usefulness of duct leakage tests
