FUND 3 - What Works & Why: Real World Results
Wednesday, February 04, 2009 · 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
How much energy is really saved from insulation, air sealing, heating system replacements, refrigerator replacements, CFLs, duct sealing, tankless water heaters, and other energy retrofits? What treatments don’t save much energy? What has been learned from evaluating the energy use of thousands of existing and newly built homes? Examine the factors that lead to energy savings based on building science and measured - not projected - results.
By attending this session, participants will
1. Learn what factors are associated with actual, real-world energy savings
2. Find out which retrofits really work, which ones don’t, and why
3. Have a better understanding of factors that contribute to better performance in existing and newly built homes
