Intervening in a utility rate case or advocating for a bill before your state legislature can be a very daunting prospect. This session will discuss ways to think about and act on getting what you need from the process. Why should you intervene in a rate case? How does the process work? What are other access points? With whom do you talk, when, and what is important to them?
By attending this session, participants will
- Gain a better understanding of how to work with your public utility commission or legislature
- Consider different options to weigh in order to manage time and resources
- Learn how to make friends and influence enemies
