SOLV 2 - Building Diagnostics for Town Houses & Multis
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 · 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
There are a lot of tools for diagnosing the house as a system; how can those tools be used for multifamily buildings? Explore the use of blower doors, infrared cameras, data loggers, and energy simulations. New metrics will be presented for energy conservation work in apartment buildings.
By attending this session, participants will
- Gain a better understanding of the level of air leakage in typical western-frame platform constructed multifamily buildings
- See examples where building diagnostics in multifamily projects impacted the energy conservation measure selection
- Learn about methods for tracking IAQ or assessing combustion safety problems
