NEW 4 - Air Sealing & Insulation: Products & Applications
Thursday, February 22, 2007 · 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Rising energy prices demand better materials and applications to provide affordable comfort. Air sealing and insulation products must be used with a thorough knowledge of their characteristics. Eliminating thermal bridges at structural members and insulating the floor or foundation are some of the biggest challenges of performance contracting and weatherization. What is the difference among the variety of foam products on the market today? How do you evaluate products that claim to be “greener” than the traditional counterparts?
By attending this session, participants will
- Recognize the importance of reading and understanding material specifications when selecting an insulation or air sealing product
- Understand basic terms used in product specifications
- Learn where and how to get additional information to help decide the appropriateness of a product for a specific application
