GRN 1 - Solar Applications for the Pacific Northwest
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 · 10:20 AM - 11:50 AM
The solar industry is growing rapidly thanks to new financial incentives, rising energy costs, and the public desire to reduce global warming pollution. Onsite solar electric and solar thermal systems can supply a significant portion of an energy-efficient home’s energy needs, even in the Pacific Northwest. Many lessons were learned from 1980s-era solar installations, resulting in today’s high quality, high performance systems.
By attending this session, participants will
- Find out how solar water heating and solar electric systems perform in the Pacific Northwest
- Explore technology advancements that have been made in solar since the 1980s
- Discover the financial incentives that are available in the Northwest to help pay for the cost of solar energy systems for multifamily buildings and single family homes
