DONE 6 - Implementation Challenges: Specs that Work

Thursday, February 22, 2007  ·  1:20 PM - 2:50 PM

With the variation of climates in the US, one set of home performance specifications won't cover the whole nation. Different regions have their own legacy specs from their own conservation programs. Experts, involved in your project, don't agree on what is cost-effective. How do you craft specifications that will foster the success of your home performance, weatherization, or new construction program? Learn the function of policy, specifications, standards, and procedures in creating a successful program.

By attending this session, participants will

  1. Gain a better understanding of the difference between specifications, standards, and procedures
  2. Critique sample specifications for effectiveness
  3. Evaluate their organization’s or program’s specifications, standards, and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
