more concerned with combustion safety, acceptable indoor air quality, and house pressures. However, understanding, measuring, and providing the required
“air” can be a challenge. At times combustion, ventilation, and make-up air all work together; at other times, they seem to work against one
another. This session will define possible problems and present systematic solutions.
By attending this session, participants will
- Understand the methods for determining if adequate combustion air is available to appliances and, if not, how to ensure an adequate supply
- Be able to size ventilation fans for acceptable indoor air quality
- Find out how to determine if make-up air is needed to reduce pressure imbalances
- Recognize how the “airs” interact
