A look at air sealing - what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong. A comparison of air sealing new houses compared to existing houses, and reasons why you should be doing both. This will be a lively discussion and we will all learn about new techniques and materials from each other.
By attending this session, participants will
- Explore the architectural details and logistical challenges that can be problematic in knee walls, side attics, and eaves
- Understand the impact of thermal and air barrier detailing relative to air sealing and moisture issues, specific to side attics and attic conversions
- Learn about a variety of tools, techniques, and products to better deal with a mixture of configurations
