SHLL 2 - Air Sealing Details & Challenges

A look at air sealing - what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong. A comparison of air sealing new houses compared to existing houses, and reasons why you should be doing both.  This will be a lively discussion and we will all learn about new techniques and materials from each other.

 

By attending this session, participants will

 

1. Explore the architectural details and logistical challenges that can be problematic in knee walls, side attics, and eaves
2. Understand the impact of thermal and air barrier detailing relative to air sealing and moisture issues, specific to side attics and attic conversions
3. Learn about a variety of tools, techniques, and products to better deal with a mixture of configurations
