As energy prices climb, there are many claims for energy savings. Learn why energy savings and payback need to be grounded in an understanding of a home’s energy use. Examine a variety of treatments and gain understanding of their interactions and potential savings.

1. Learn to estimate the heating, cooling, and baseload from a home’s utility bill
2. Recognize reasons why expected savings may not occur
3. Be better able to determine if a claim for energy savings or payback is realistic or not
