Fundamentals of Electric & Gas Baseload

As space conditioning energy requirements decrease, the relative share of electric and/or gas baseload use often becomes a larger issue in whole house performance. Recognizing opportunities and responding appropriately is a winning proposition. By looking at a variety of end uses, prioritizing treatments, and dealing with diagnostics, hardware, and lifestyle issues, this session sets the table for achieving a reduced residential energy lunch without sacrificing the fiber.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Define and explore a variety of baseload end uses

2. Explore methods of measurement, diagnostic techniques, and equipment

3. Survey options and responses proven to reduce consumption
