Texas HERO will offer Texas Home Energy Auditor Certification Training, a two-day course that provides the first step towards certification as a Texas Home Energy Auditor. Certification is recognized by the Residential Energy Service Network (RESNET) as a home performance certification program and is approved for eleven hours of RESNET Continuing Education.  Certification requires a successful written exam, field demonstration and work scope. By attending this course, participants will

• Learn to perform residential energy audits, per the Texas Home Energy Audit Technical Standard, incorporating prioritized energy efficiency improvements into an understandable report format for homeowners
• Find out how to identify comfort, durability, and health and safety issues, and to provide solutions
• Discover how to complete performance analysis and detailed contractor "scope of work" using RESNET Accredited software
  
  

The trainer will be C.T. Loyd, Texas HERO Technical Director. Candidates must be RESNET certified raters. The class is limited to fourteen participants, and is available at a cost of $495 through Texas HERO. Any participant that also attends the ACI Home Performance Conference will receive a $100.00 discount on their Texas Home Energy Auditor Certification Training registration.
