ThPM 03 - Paths to the Net Zero Fossil Carbon (p2z)

Thursday, April 30, 2009  ·  1:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Peak oil and global warming mean the expected future is dead. Techno fixes don't scale in time or size - ten years of natural gas remain in North America. They'll help, we have to try, but massive cultural change is our best chance to make the transition and keep an open, civil society. Deep reduction in residential energy use, 70% - 90%, requires both technical and cultural change.
By attending this session, participants will
  1. Get a grip on path to zero (p2z) building technology
  2. Understand some of the cultural changes needed to enable p2z deep reduction, 1T CO2 / person
  3. Become more confused by the extent of our predicament
