DIAG 7 - Tuning Combustion Equipment for Peak Performance

Thursday, April 30, 2009  ·  8:30 AM - 10:10 AM

With the increased cost of heating fuels and the need to reduce greenhouse gases, optimizing the efficiency of combustion appliances has never been more important. This session will define optimum performance (efficiency) from different perspectives, cover the measurement of efficiency, and address the culprits of peak efficiency. Gas-fired appliances will be the primary focus with oil-fired being a secondary focus.

By attending this session, participants will

  1. Discover how to describe the maximum performance of a combustion appliance
  2. Understand how to tune a heating system for optimum efficiency
  3. Explore the many things that reduce optimum efficiency of a system
