HEAL 6 - Healthy Home Intervention Effectiveness
Wednesday, April 29, 2009 · 2:00 PM - 3:40 PM
What healthy homes interventions work and what does not work? The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Center for Healthy Housing convened a panel of experts to assess the peer-reviewed literature and rate the effectiveness of the interventions. This session will review the results and the implications of the findings. It will also highlight the application of those principles by Kansas City’s nationally recognized healthy homes program at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Clinics.
By attending this session, participants will
- Explore healthy homes interventions shown to be effective or ineffective
- Know the practical implications of these interventions
- Be able to explain tools in response to potential hazards
