Wednesday, April 29, 2009 · 8:30 AM - 10:10 AM"The times they are a changing," and the residential buildings sector has a vital role to play as our communities respond to climate change. What are the central issues, and how do we effectively organize our finite resources? As individuals and groups around the country devise strategies to not only cope but flourish, common characteristics surface. In this workshop we'll explore what constitutes community and survey a variety of tools.
By attending this session, participants will
- Learn how communities are taking action, and review examples of climate communication techniques and materials
- Review community action models and ways to meet common barriers and challenges
- Examine long and short term community transition strategies
