PROG 3 - Experiences with the KC Power & Light Cool Homes Program

Tuesday, April 28, 2009  ·  3:35 PM - 5:15 PM

The Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) Cool Homes program is a rebate program that helps customers maintain the operating efficiency of central A / C systems and offsets the cost of high-efficiency upgrades. This session is a case study and lessons learn regarding the implementation and administration of this program.

By attending this session, participants will

  1. Understand how to design and implement a program aimed at increasing existing AC/HP system efficiency or identifying good candidates for early replacement
  2. Learn from the experiences of KCP&L in implementing a large scale program aimed at lower system peak load
  3. Realize the energy savings potential of targeting systems for early replacement before they would normally be replaced

Type: 100 Minute Session
Track: Program Implementation
