ACI Home Performance Conference 2009

FUND 3 - Understanding Heating & Cooling Loads

Tuesday, April 28, 2009  ·  3:35 PM - 5:15 PM

Proper sizing of heating and cooling equipment is important for energy efficiency and humidity control, but it can also be a gold mine for making more money available to improve other important building elements. The best way to understand proper heating and cooling equipment sizing is to understand where the loads come from, and then focus on making sure the most important loads are handled correctly. An organized process will be presented that makes this easy.

By attending this session, participants will

1.      Become familiar with where the most important heating and cooling loads come from

2.      Understand what can be done to reduce the most important heating and cooling loads (climate sensitive)

3.      Learn how to handle the most important loads properly in system sizing software
