SHLL 2 - Basement Insulation

What are the do’s and don’ts of installing insulation on basement walls and ceilings? Starting with the basic physical processes of heat loss / gain and thermal insulation in basements, other issues, such as insulation durability, pollutant emissions, and moisture and mold will be discussed. Specific techniques for installing insulation on foundation walls and sub-floors will be presented. Participants of this session should have some prior familiarity with residential basement construction.
