SUST 1 - What is Green: Principles, Process, & Products

Many building professionals want to apply green building principles to their business but aren’t sure where to start. Learn how to integrate green building into everyday practice. Initially, we will focus on process: forming a green team, defining what green building is, and setting achievable goals. Then, discover how to get results: methods for monitoring performance, learning from your results, and marketing green building to potential clients.

 

By attending this session, participants will 

1. Learn that process is a critical component of designing and building green
2. Be introduced to various national and local green building rating systems
3. See several examples of off-the-shelf, cost effective, easily implemented green building options
