Low Income Program Impacts
For decades, low-income weatherization and conservation programs have integrated energy conservation education into their design. However, some have been skeptical about the impacts of these efforts, as it is difficult to definitively show that changes in energy use result directly from energy education. This session will present information on programs that have been implemented in Pennsylvania, and present new evidence on the impacts of the energy education.
By attending this session, participants will
1. Hear about two programs where client / customer energy conservation education was expected to play a major role
2. Learn about research on the impacts of energy education
3. Discuss aspects of energy education programs that have the greatest impacts
