PRAC 6 - Affordable Housing: Moving to Zero Energy

Rural Development, Inc. (RDI), has brought together a team of architects, engineers, and trades people to design and build affordable near-zero energy homes in Western Massachusetts. One such house is complete and a solar village is under construction. RDI and Steven Winter Associates will present lessons learned, construction details, and monitoring data.
By attending this session, participants will
- Understand the concept of near-zero energy homes
- Recognize how such homes can be affordable
- Learn to prioritize green building materials and techniques
