HEAL 3 - EPA’s New Lead Rule

In March 2008, EPA plans to issue a Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule that will impact contractors that disturb more than small amounts of paint in housing built before 1978. The rules are not final as of January 2008. In this session, EPA will describe the specifics of the rule, compliance requirements, and its implementation schedule. Hear the perspectives of the remodeling industry and healthy housing on the rule and implications for contractors who work in existing homes.
