ACI Home Performance Conference 2008

VENT 3 - ASHRAE Standard 62.2 Update (Advanced)

Tuesday, April 08, 2008  ·  3:35 PM - 5:15 PM

The ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation standard addresses when and how we install mechanical ventilation in new and existing homes. Participate in a discussion of revisions that are proposed or under consideration. Up for discussion: What different or additional requirements are needed for multifamily buildings? Should infiltration credit be given to a leaky house? Should different ventilation system designs be given different credit? Is the ventilation rate called for too high or too low?

By attending this session, participants will

  1. Learn how the Standard is maintained and how to participate in the revision process
  2. Be brought up to date on potential changes to ASHRAE 62.2
  3. Recognize the potential impact that the issues discussed could have on existing and new construction
