PART 3 - Advanced Framing
Tuesday, April 08, 2008 · 3:35 PM - 5:15 PM
This session will provide a basic working definition of advanced framing, and show some of the levels of advanced framing techniques, as well as the benefits and obstacles, of each. Explore an array of planning recommendations while keeping the “house as a system” philosophy in mind. Regardless of your interest - reduced costs, environmental concerns, or building performance and durability, here is your opportunity to look at what makes sense to try to achieve and how to go about it.
By attending this session, participants will
- Gain insight and a context to determine when and where advanced framing makes sense
- Recognize some of the more common pitfalls and gain tools to help to insure “as designed” and “as built” end products are aligned
- Acquire a road map for making more informed decisions on how to apply new technologies and green components of advanced framing
